Editor's note— Sections 18.2-340.1—18.2-340.14 of an ordinance adopted Oct. 17, 1995, enacted new provisions which superseded provisions formerly set out as Art. III of this chapter. Art. III, §§ 3-81—3-92, pertained to bingo games and raffles and derived from an ordinance adopted Dec. 4, 1990, §§ 1—11. Sections 18.2-340 of the ordinance adopted Oct. 17, 1995, furthermore provided for the automatic repeal of the provisions of §§ 18.2-340.1—18.2-340.14 of said ordinance stating that "All of the following bingo and raffle ordinances shall remain in effect until July 1, 1996, at which time all authority over bingo and raffle shall automatically vest in the Virginia Charitable Gaming Commission." |
