§ 6-9. Preservation of natural features and amenities.

Latest version.
  • Existing features which would add value to residential development or to the City of Norton as a whole, such as trees, watercourses and falls, historic spots, and similar irreplaceable assets, shall be preserved in the design of the subdivision. No trees shall be removed from any subdivision nor any change of grade of the land effected until approval of the preliminary plat has been granted or a soil and erosion control plan has been approved for inspection. If any work should be covered up without approval or consent of the inspector, it shall, if required by the city manager, be uncovered for examination and properly restored at the subdivider's expense. The cost of re-examining by the city of any work previously found to be defective by the inspector or his representative shall be borne by the subdivider. In no event shall any of the inspections conducted under this section imply approval or acceptance of the subdivision improvements.
