§ 6.5. Severability clause.

  • If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section or part of this charter shall, for any reason, be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder of this charter, but shall be confined in its operations to the clause, sentence, paragraph, section or part thereof directly involved in the controversy in which the judgment shall have been rendered.
